Al Craven

Al is back his 10th summer at Lenox where he will be the Division Head for the most energetic boys in camp: the Braves, Scouts, and Chiefs! He will be helping campers and staff develop group cultures centered on teamwork, respect, and friendship. You may also find him coaching Andy Ball by Laker Court or enjoying Flex period playing Pétanque by the Boys’ Rec Hall. Known in the offseason as Monsieur Craven, Al is a high school French teacher and youth lacrosse coach. He loves his day job in beautiful Ipswich, MA but he cannot wait to get back to the Berkshires to spend another two months in his home away from home: Camp Lenox! When asked about this summer he says, “Well, it’ll be wicked tough to top a summer like 2018 with the Vegetable Museum Excursion, the infamous Trial of Mr. Donut, the Chief Boys Beefed Up 24/7, Moss Madness, the divisive Left Twix vs. Right Twix Controversy, and an incredible Color War… but with the Moss family in the driver seat, a great medley of returning staff, a vast addition of some of the best new staff ever recruited by our talented Florida team, and all of our new and returning campers, I think we’re in for a great 2019 season!”
