Hello, we're Rich and Stephanie, owners and directors of Camp Lenox.
Thanks for taking an interest in Camp Lenox. We respect your willingness to research summer opportunities in the midst of your studies at school. When your academic burdens begin to lighten, you'll be thankful you took the time to answer that perennial question:
"What am I going to do this summer?"
Many of your classmates have jobs at that local burger joint, but you're searching for something more. You’re not completely sure of your life’s calling, but you know you have some special things to offer. You’re disciplined, motivated, and diligent. You communicate and interact well with others. You’re ready to make a difference.
We’re offering more than a job, which means it's not for everyone. You'll be spending the summer living in a cabin with 1 - 2 other counselors and 8 - 10 campers. You'll be eating meals with these campers, participating in their camp activities, and sharing in their hopes, struggles and victories. You'll also be teaching or assisting in one or more activities that you are especially good at. While a comprehensive "job description" of your summer at camp is impossible, suffice to say that for its duration, your life will be consumed with caring for the campers and their needs.
Except for a few days and nights off during the course of the summer, all of your time will be dedicated to earning the trust parents place in you when they send their child to camp. No amount of money can ever repay the time and effort you invest in a child. Nothing you ever do will be more rewarding.
For over 40 years, we have labored with generations of staff to fashion a tradition of excellence. If that tradition appeals to you, it’s time to make it your own. This year is your year. Join us at Camp Lenox.
