Work at Lenox
The Lenox staff is recruited by the Camp Directors, Rich and Stephanie Moss, with the assistance of Barry Bergen, Bonnie Geffner and the Human Resource team.
Camp is lead by the Lenox Core Staff and Program Directors. These people are teachers and coaches who have been at Lenox at least 7-20 years and add to the deep sense of tradition that is so much a part of Camp Lenox.
Our staff is chosen on the basis of character, interest, motivation and ability to communicate with others. In addition, we seek people who are skilled in a specific area and who can teach sound fundamentals. We are aware that the staff will be called upon to deal with campers on many levels during the course of their season; some times as a teacher, friend or supervisor. In view of this, we see counseling as both a deeply human and professional activity of the highest responsibility.
Staff Orientation and Training
Prior to the start of camp, all staff members attend a one week intensive training program. Throughout the summer there are weekly staff meetings, as well as daily program meeting. In addition, all staff members have individual feedback sessions with Rich and the core staff.
