Parents, we strongly encourage you to consider why you might send your child to Camp Lenox. A summer at camp is an experience that stays with a child throughout their life. It's a LOT of fun, but there's more to it. So, why do parents send their children to summer camp?
New Experiences
At summer camp a child has the opportunity to try new things that they might not want to try at home. When a child leaves their current peer group they feel more comfortable trying things they've never done before because the fear of failure has been diminished.
Camp Lenox, a premier Northeast sports camp, offers high quality instruction in over 40 sports and activities. At our summer camp we have high school and college level coaches leading our major sports as well as teachers and professional educators leading our other activities. This excellent instruction means that it will be easier and more fun for your child to develop in their areas of interest.
Summer Camp Is a Place to Grow
When a child comes to summer camp, they're in the same boat as everyone else—they're away from home. The first thing they do when they arrive is start adjusting to their new environment without their parents—a major milestone in a child's development.
Children quickly start making friends and branching out. If they don't, our experienced staff makes every effort to encourage the camper and help them adjust. Even after only a few days of camp, you'll notice a difference in your child. They're maturing.
