Ranjit first traveled to the US from Puna, India 23 years ago as a tennis counselor. Rich immediately recognized his leadership and coaching abilities and wisely decided to hire him as Tennis Director the following summer. Ranjit has gone on to establish the best tennis program in the Berkshires.
The Shinde family lives in Aukland, New Zealand, where Ranjit now coaches the country’s youth tennis team and the national Junior Davis Cup team. He is a USPTA-certified tennis instructor and runs his own tennis academy.
He personally leads all tennis staff through a 40-hour, pre-camp training program. Students under his instruction advance rapidly in the course of a single summer. Campers and staff know him by his Indian title Swami, meaning a master who inspires and gives good advice.
